Book international cargo
Unless you are a regular shipper with Air New Zealand and have allocated space for your cargo, you will be required to book your shipment in advance. There are lots of 'moving parts' to consider when freighting by air depending on:
- Type of cargo
- Weight and size
- Compatibility with other cargo booked
- Special stowage and storage facilities for the journey
For these reasons it is important to book your flight and reserve space in advance. Think of this as a ticket for your cargo.
Please note from 9 December 2024, Air New Zealand international cargo services are exclusively available to freight forwarders. If you need to send goods internationally including unaccompanied baggage, we recommend contacting a freight forwarder. Please see the list of IATA approved freight forwarders.
